for textbook buybacks, cheapbooks.com is a price comparison service. they do not handle the actual transaction or transfer of the book. it is just the pricing. all of the transactions are done directly with the merchants, which are all independently owned and operated.
you may have to wait 2 – 4 weeks to be paid. the fastest payment will come through paypal.
make sure your book is in good condition. if it has ëxcessive¨highlighting, has a missing or torn cover, is water damaged, etc, then you will not be able to sell it.
my advice, if you are concerned about the process, is to return the lowest valued book first. return the higher valued books once you are confident with the process.
some of the buyers on cheapbooks are operated by large, established companies such as ecampus, textbooksrus, etc. there are many public reviews on the buyback process for these companies by other students.
